Type(wreck/reef/hole): Wreck
Description: Trawler converted to a minesweeper, sunk by a mine! Quite intact and upright with several nets draped over it.

I've only ever dived the Rinovia on air - and I was off my tits so I wouldn't mind going back and diving it on trimix later in the year.

I've seen the bell off it recently too.

Steel screw steamer ( fishing trawler)
Launched 27th August 1931 , as Yard No 566, by Cook Welton & Gemmell,
Completed 6th October 1931.
403 GRT.
142.7ft L, 25.1ft B, 14.1 D.
Triple expansion steam engine and one single ended boiler operating at 210
lbs/sqin pressure supplied by Amos & Smith Ltd., Hull. Service speed 11
Fitted with electricity and wireless.
One deck.
Owners : Rinovia Steam Fishing Co., Ltd., ( J.G. Little managers.) Fish
Docks, Grimsby
Port of Registry : Grimsby. Fishing No GY 378.

1939. February. RINOVIA . Same owners.
31st August . Requisitioned by the Admiralty for service as a minesweeper
1940. September. Ran aground off Dartmouth. Refloated with minor damage.
2nd November. Sunk by mine of Falmouth Bay. 2.9 miles off St Anthony Light.
