Seeking Inspiration

About me..
New to the forum - but not a new diver.. been diving about 20 years off and on, mostly in warm water though. Dive OC Trimix, wrecks and cave (recent addition).

General troublemaker and occasional a complete nuisance.. but don't mind being told "YAC" with a good reason behind it..

I'm here looking for inspiration of places/boats to go when I'm visiting relatives down in Cornwall, as well as the usual Dorset/Devon stuff. This year will be a much more dive-centred one than the last couple. Good to see some familiar names from "other places"..

Cheers

Keri

Hello Keri.
I shall now be accused of yet more internet grooming.

Best answer is just to watch for trips and ask to book on if it suits you. Ive been on boats where I dont know anybody. ( perhaps best that they dont know me ). Most divers are friendly souls and make you feel welcome and forums are good places to make virtual friends that become the real thing. Dont be afraid to ask anything on here or fear putting yourself forward. Lots of things will be happening at Plymouth this year. Look out for trips on Seeker or the new visitor Top Gun. Super friendly skippers on both. ( Aren't they all ? ). Keep us in posted on how you get on.

Cheers guys..

Looking at ideas for West Cornwall - my Mum lives down there and it would be a good break from all the family stuff in the summer.

I often dive in Weymouth, Swanage and Poole - and we're in Plymouth (a trip I am organising through another board) in early Feb, and I'm trying to organise another boat for 40-60M stuff in October out of Dartmouth.. so I may be seeing some familiar faces as we run around.

Thanks for the welcome.

Ullo Neil... fancy seeing YOU here!

Good point! If there's spaces on one of your trips to the Unknown you've been investigating it would be fun to see what North East diving's like :-)

Bit like Truk, Bikini, etc.

Just colder.

And less vis.

You obviously do need to dive in West or North Cornwall. 30m vis at 60m is not uncommon down here.

Now we're talking.. will definitely be in the Redruth/Scorrier/StAgnes (granny lives Mt Hawke) area this summer - would be great to get out and dive - will keep an eye open for trips planned!

Hi Keri

Don't listen to that Salsette man, he is so very old and a perv, and as he said he is into internet grooming.

And if Uncle Al comes on here then he is exactly the same.
